Josh co-founded Greenleaf Capital in 2008 and directs acquisitions, fund raising, and lending relationships throughout the assets’ life cycle. An astute leader who does not shy away from challenge or change, Josh has adapted to shifts in the real estate market and guided Greenleaf into new asset classes. From its start in single families and student housing to its first shift into low-income multifamily, Greenleaf has always focused on long-term operational stability. After 8 years and its multifamily portfolio reaching 4000 units, Greenleaf began its next venture into mobile homes, NNN leased buildings, and commercial office. Josh has helped Greenleaf close a total of 64 acquisitions over the past twelve years. Relationships he has built with brokers, bankers, and investors continue to be catalysts to Greenleaf’s growth. Day to day, Josh heads up the capital team, which he has expanded by four members, and continues to cultivate outside partnerships.
Josh has long focused his energy on nonprofit startups dedicated to enabling underprivileged youth to seek a brighter future, including Camp Impact (20 years) and Crazy Science Extravaganza (13 years). Greenleaf recently created its own nonprofit aimed at reducing the daily costs of food, utilities, transportation, and education to enrich the communities in which it operates. Josh graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in Chemical Engineering and lives in Peachtree Corners, GA with his wife and four boys.
